Here are some pictures of hikes I have been on with the Oak Ridges Trail Association. Some people are having challenges manipulating the thumbnail pages, so I created this HELP file. (Click on HELP). If you have a Facebook account, please consider joining our Oak Ridges Trail Group.
A large group of people turned out for this end of the year hike. It was a little chilly, but the sun came out making a great day.
Brian & Wilma were away, so this hike was led by Joan. It was a little longer and faster than normal, but we all made it.
Good hiking but ice with snow on top made icers a great asset. I put some movies of the hike and party on the facebook Oak Ridges Trail Group.
A good day of hiking. Icers were needed in the parking lot. But the trail was okay
There were numerous people joining harold for this annual celebration. Some just came to the Anniversary site, It was a good day of hiking. Although I only did half .
20 people enjoyed this great hike. The snow was a little deep but we managed without snowshoes.
Our first hike in snow with a bit of bush whacking for some added fun. It was still another great day of hiking.
42 people enjoyed today's 8 km hike. It was a perfect day and again the rain held off until the hike was over.
We had a great hike on this section of the Bruce Trail. It rained a little but the main deluge held off until the hike was over
Over 30 hikers were out for this perfect hiking day. My memory is getting bad, I can't remember exact number. At any rate Brian was back to his usual 8 km hike.
22 hikers started out on this 17 km hike and after lunch 10 finished the last 8 km. This was the first of Brian and Wilma's day hikes. It was a great success and we are looking forward to more of them.
42 hikers enjoyed todays outing. It was a beutifull day and we walked 8 km. Almost half the group went for lunch.
A slight longer than normal hike for Brian & Wilma (10.5 km). But the weather was perfect for hiking.
In spite of the rain, 35 friends and family joined Harold on this 5 km memorial hike. There was a chance to tell some fond memories of Ginny. Some left early and missed the sun during the later part of the hike.
24 hikers enjoyed the beautiful weather as Harold led us through a maze of trails in Richmond Hill.
Brian & Wilma were back to lead on this very scenic hike.
Gary led us on a 11 Km hike. A little further and faster than we are used to, But we managed to finish and enjoy the hike.
Another great hike with Russ subbing for Brian & Wilma. Some times the snow was a bit deep if you stepped of the trail but it was still afun hike.
17 people enjoyed this days great hike. People used snowshows, icers & just boots, so the conditions were good for all.
Only three of us turned up on this beutiful day. We did a T & B on the East side. Two of us used snowshoes & one didn't so the hike was good for all. Too bad more people did not come out.
One person had to turn back because of no snowshoes, but the rest of us had a great time snow shoeing.
11 people started out on this hike, but 2 without snowshoes left early. Brian led us through a twisted maze of forested trails. It was a perfect day for snow showing.
10 hikers joined me on this beautiful sunny day. That's 2 Saturdays of sun in a row! We hiked 5.1 Km East this time.
It was a beautiful sunny day and we decided to hike west this time. The region had cleared the Keele St Entrance, so parking was no problem. 5 hikers enjoyed this pleasent 5 Km hike.
26 hikers joined Brian & Wilma. Some snowshows, icers & just plain boots were used. It was a beautiful day for an outing in the woods.
9 hikers were out for todays hike. Diane couldn't make it so Bob led this 5 Km hike East around Eaton lake. It was a nice hike with the sun poking out part way through.
16 hikers enjoyed todays hike. Brian & Wilma could not make it, so Joan led the hike with Bob Comforts assistance. Snowshoes were not needed, but a few people wore icers.
